The Ohio High School Athletic Association Track & Field Championships will return to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University June 3-4.

The two-time Olympic Trials Champion, who is a stickler for detail and is constantly examining little items to make himself a better athlete, has also been working on cultivating differing race positioning and racing styles. "I used to be much more of a back runner. And I've to become more of a mid-pack runner. I've really become more comfortable in the front third of the race.

Elite runners spend more time in air, less on ground, than highly trained but non-elite peers

A recent study led by Geoff Burns, an elite runner and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan Exercise & Sport Science Initiative, compared the "bouncing behavior"—the underlying spring-like physics of running—in elite-level male runners (sub-four-minute milers) vs. highly trained but not elite runners.

Sisson Breaks American Record* at the USATF Half Marathon Championships
|
Olympian Emily Sisson broke the American half marathon record (*pending verification by the USATF Records Committee) at the USATF Half Marathon Championships presented by Toyota. Sisson crossed the line in 1:07:11, four seconds ahead of Sara Hall’s American record set in January .

Participants in July 24 Event Will Run Under the Olympic Rings - ATLANTA - July 20, 2021 – Just hours after the Opening Ceremony, Atlanta will celebrate its own Olympic legacy with “Road to Gold,” a 4-mile event along the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon course that will take participants under the Olympic Rings.

Pan-American Masters Games

Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games will be held in Cleveland during the Summer of 2024

Circleville City Schools recognized and thanked the McGowan family for their generous donation to the track facilities at the CHS Track Invitational last month. In honor of their continued support, the facility will now be known as The McGowan Family Track.
