The fall road racing season looks to be cancelled. Cross Country is supposed to start this month. The question we are waiting to know the answer to - will there be a season and how will the races be organized. With the COVID-19 – Corona virus cases increasing remember the various safety guidelines.
I am working with the Columbus Running Company’s Andy Harris to offer two virtual races. The August 9 the Jeff McGowan Memorial 5K will be in memory of Jeff as well as Mark Dempsey -
I hope you and your family is doing well and you are able to safely continue your running.

I often think about a statement that one of my college cross-country teammates used frequently. He would always say, “The good runner is always prepared”. While I knew this to hold certain truths, little did I know it would mean so much to me as a Sport Psychologist.

With a few more months of hot weather running many athletes are looking forward to the fall with cooler temperatures. Don't forget to drink plenty of water before and after your runs. This is especially important during the hot and humid days of July and August.

For the past nineteen years I have been a member of the Granville Village Council, for two years I served as the Vice Mayor and for two years I served as the Mayor.
While I was the Mayor the Village purchased the Bryn Du Mansion from the David Longaberger family. The year after we purchased the property I laid out a number of cross country courses of various distances which have been used for Denison University, Granville High School, Newark Catholic High School and the Granville Summer Cross Country Series. RUNOHIO is a member of the Granville Chamber of Commerce and I wanted to share a recent promo about Granville - http://www.runohio.com/index.php/video/category/35-industry/79-granvilleohio
