December RUNOHIO E-Newsletter
As another year ends and a New Year begins, one can always look back on numerous positive happenings as well as sad ones we experienced. I am sure we all know people who had a challenging 2021 either with a health or work situation. If you know someone having a rough time, maybe you can do something to make their life better. Also, when you are making your New Year’ Resolutions, I hope you will consider volunteering at a local road race. If possible, help to sponsor a local race or help a new runner understand proper training and help your neighbor who might need some assistance. If we all do a few kind acts to help others who are nearby, I am sure 2022 will be a Great Year! Also, remember to shop locally to help all the businesses in your home town.

Arnold 5K – Arnold 5K Pump & Run

2021 OHSAA State Cross Country Championships
|
A frosty November morning greeted the Division III runners and the afternoon races were run in perfect weather as 541 boys from 165 schools and 554 girls from 179 schools competed in the 93rd annual Boys and 44th annual Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships held at Fortress Obetz.

Way back in 1967, three brothers ran in their first organized race called, “The Turkey Trot.” Our father and mother, who raised all three of us in the United States Navy, had just moved to a community outside of Chicago. We had just left Catholic School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as our father had been transferred yet again.

The Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches annual Track & Field Clinic will be held at the Hilton Easton from January 27-29. The pre-registration deadline is January 10, 2020 to be eligible for banquet tickets.

Pan-American Masters Games

Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games will be held in Cleveland during the Summer of 2024

Circleville City Schools recognized and thanked the McGowan family for their generous donation to the track facilities at the CHS Track Invitational last month. In honor of their continued support, the facility will now be known as The McGowan Family Track.
