NCAA Cross Country Championships come to Ohio and Indiana
Check out one of the three NCAA Cross Country Championships races which will be held in Ohio and Indiana November 21st and November 23rd. Baldwin-Wallace College, in conjunction with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, will host the 2009 NCAA Division III National Cross Country

“Baldwin-Wallace College is excited to partner with the NCAA and Cleveland Sports Commission to host the Division III National Cross Country Championship and the Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet in May,” said B-W athletic director Kris Diaz.
Thirty-two Division III men’s teams and 32 women’s teams (seven runners per team) and 56 individual men and women will fill the field of 560 competitors in Highland Heights. The women’s race at 11 a.m. covers a 6K course while the 8K men’s race steps off at noon. An awards ceremony will follow at the Cleveland Hilton East.
The University of Southern Indiana and the City of Evansville will host the
NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on November 21. The women’s race is at noon and the men run at 100 p.m. The Championship Awards/Hall of Fame Banquet

The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Indiana
State University and Terre Haute on November 23 at the Wabash Valley Family
Sports Center. The 2009 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be broadcast live on VERSUS, marking the third consecutive year the championships will be seen on live television, and the first with VERSUS. A live web stream of the championships will also be available on www.NCAA.com
The men’s race will start at approximately noon Eastern, with the women’s race to follow. The 2009 championships will be hosted by Indiana State University for the sixth-straight year.
“The entire cross community has enjoyed watching the event live on television and the internet, and everyone will be pleased they have the ability to do that again this year on VERSUS,” said David Beauchem, chair of the Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championship Committee and head cross country and women’s track and field coach at Bradley University. “It is important that we continue to obtain the best exposure for the sport of cross country.”
