Clarksburg 10K again as they captured the first ten
money spots. John Korir (29:07) held off fellow countryman
Tom Nyariki to
win by two seconds on the two loop hilly course on a hot
and humid morning.
Gillzert Koech (29:10) nipped James Kwambai (29:12) and
William Kiptum
(29:14) for the bronze.Kenyan's Gladys Asiba (34:22) out sprinted Teresa Wanjiku
to win the women's
gold by a second.
Athens, West Virginia's Mikey Cox (31:43) held off Maryland's
Darrell
General (31:47) and Ohio's Thomas Lentz (32:13) to win the
top American
money on this challenging course.
Indiana's Stephanie Doeringer (35:41) won the women's
American top prize.
Morgantown, West Virginia's Heather Bury (37:11) and
Ohio's Debbie
Kilpatrick (38:40) finished next.
