Arthur Lydiard: 1917-2004

Arthur Lydiard who had been on a U.S. speaking engagement
passed away on December
11th. Last month Lydiard was in South Point, Ohio for a
clinic.
Many considered Lydiard the greatest and most influential
distance coach in
history.

inspired generations of New Zealanders to run, has died aged
87. Lydiard died
of a suspected heart attack yesterday in a Texas hotel while
on a lecture tour
of the United States.
