The May RUNOHIO E-Newsletter is coming out a little early
because we wanted to remind you of the Kip Keino visit to Ohio.
Kip Keino, four time Olympic medal winner and world-
renowned humanitarian will be in Ohio the weekend of April 22
nd -24 th. Keino will be in Bowling Green on Friday April 22 nd
and will be signing autographs on campus in Oscamp room 117,
during a reception from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. He will then be
on hand for the 3 rd annual Bowling Green State University 5K
Race Against AIDS on Saturday April 23 rd at 10:00 a.m.
On Sunday, April 24 th Keino will travel to The Columbus
Running Company in Dublin for a 2-mile fun run at 3:30 p.m.
After the fun run Kenyan students from Denison University and
members of RUNGRANVILLE are providing Kenyan food. Then at 4:15
p.m. Keino will talk about his past, Kenyan culture, the AIDS
epidemic in Africa, and distance running today.

Columbus 10K on June 5th. The race is the "Oldest Road
Race in Columbus" as it started as the Citizen Journal 10K, 28
years ago. The race is held the same weekend as the Columbus
Arts Festival and the Ohio High School State Track & Field
Championships. The Columbus Parks & Recreation Department
has help sponsor the race every year. If you register online

Mark you calendar to run the June 5th - COLUMBUS 10K. The
COLUMBUS 10K is -the Oldest Road Race in Columbus - as it
started as the Citizen Journal 10K - 28 years ago. The race
starts at the State House, loops around downtown, runs thru
historic German Village, runs on the bike trail along the
Scioto River, by the Columbus Arts Festival, the Nationwide
