Green, Herbst-Lucke, Leach and King All Claim Victories at The Weather Channel Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon
December 1, 2008 from Tracy Lott / Running USA wire (ATLANTA GA) Michael Green , 32, of Troy, AL, was the first runner to cross the finish line of 2008's The Weather Channel Atlanta Half Marathon with an official gun time of 1:07:23 seconds on Thursday. Green and runner-up Andrew Fuller of Rome GA battled through the 11th mile of the race before Green pulled ahead to victory.

RRCA Announces 2008 Kids Run the Nation Grant Recipients

Cedarville Women’s NAIA Cross Country Runner-ups for Third Year
Azusa Pacific placed three runners in the top ten to capture its first NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship. The Cougars scored 66 points to edge Cedarville University by 31 points. The Yellow Jackets scored 97 points to finish second for the third straight season.
Malone Repeats as Men NAIA National Cross Country Champions
Malone University defeated Azusa Pacific by 57 points to win the NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championship. The Malone University Pioneers won their second straight and third National title.
