The world record performance of Ohio State's Butch Reynolds in the 400 meters at the old Ohio Stadium was still the talk among the fans on hand for this year's event.

The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon will have all 50 states represented in its 10th anniversary field for Flying Pig Marathon weekend, May 3-4.

"We are so pleased that the reach of the Flying Pig Marathon has stretched across the country," said Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director. "While it isn't the first time that we have had all 50 states represented, it's the earliest that we have had all the states included in the field. Our 10th anniversary is certainly a milestone that the whole country has noticed."

The Boston Athletic Association hosted the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Women's Marathon. Starting and finishing at the traditional Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street, the Olympic Trials race will feature a specially designed course that tours historic Boston with a one-time loop that passes Boston Public Garden, Boston Common, the State House and Beacon Hill.

2004 U.S. Olympian Colleen De Reuck (Boulder, CO) and 2008 USA Masters Cross Country Champion Sean Wade (Houston, TX), led all contenders at the USA Masters 10K Championships, hosted by The Texas Round-Up Festival on Saturday in Austin, TX.

Kenya's Sylvester Chebii, 26, won the ninth annual Country Music Marathon in a time of 2:14:2. In the women's race, Svetlana Ponomarenko, 38, from Russia outkicked defending champion Olena Shurkhno, 30, from the Ukraine, finishing in 2:30:33.
