OHSAA State Cross Country Championships
( Matt McGowan, 11-01-08, Columbus, OH, RunOhio) Perfect November cross-country weather greeted 449 boys from 141 schools and 447 girls from 144 schools who participated in the 80th Boys and 31st Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships.
Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon
(Columbus, OH, 10-19-08, By Matt McGowan) After a few years of no prize money in the Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon resulting in the race’s slowest overall winning times last year. Race officials decided six weeks ago to reintroduce prize money for the top three overall and the top three Ohioans.

Oktoberfest 10K
( Minster, OH, 10-05-08, By Matt McGowan) Boaz Cheboiywo from Kenya’s and a seven time All-America athlete at Eastern Michigan University returned for the 30th annual Oktoberfest 10km in an effort to set the course record and collect an extra $3,000.
Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships
The second Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships will be held at Voice of America Park, West Chester, Ohio, Saturday, December 6.

Columbus’s Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run – Saturday – December 6th
Join thousands of runners and walkers pounding the pavement through beautiful downtown Columbus! The 22nd Annual Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk is just around the corner. This year’s event is expected to attract 3,000 participants, including 300 children.
